Other than simply being fun to do, play has a lot of benefits to our psychological well being.

• It boosts mood, as endorphins are released from the brain, these are your feel so good hormones. Endorphins also help relieve pain and keep us feeling energized!

• Play improves brain function, memory and stimulates creativity.

• When done with others, play helps us to feel connected and understood

Suggestions on how to add play into your life today:

• Get a bath bomb and treat yourself (yes men, you can enjoy bath bombs too. They are magic, and they are fun).

• Go for an impromptu outdoor swim

• Build a snowman

• Go into nature without your phone

• Make a scavenger hunt for a friend

• Play a game

• Do a puzzle

• Color, paint, draw
