Things will poke at you, and you will be challenged often. Lets practice walking through these obstacles.
This looks like, your friend disappointing you, not getting that thing you wanted, feeling unsure of what to do next and not feeding into the first feeling that arises with the moment. To react to our first impulse is unskillful. To place a pause between stimulus and response is one of the most powerful habits you can have.
Before every response today .. email, text, in person situation .. pause and take a full inhale and exhale, and then respond.
Take note of what taking this pause feels like, what it changes and how it helps
