Day 2 - What Is Mindfulness

“Yoga at its core is a mindfulness practice. Mindfulness is the ability to be present with what you are doing, as you are doing it. Since how you do one thing, is how you do everything, we are dedicating 60 minutes to create that habit of consciously creating space to be conscious of our breath, and the present moment. If we can do it on our mat, we can incorporate it into our life.” - Em Hrovat

Journal Thoughts

Wouldn't it be nice to be grounded, patient, trusting, and level headed more of the time?

This practice provides tools to do all of that incredibly skillfully. Notice areas in your life and on the mat where you need to be grounded, patient, trusting and level headed. See how you can use your attention to give yourself what you need.

Observing yourself without judgement

How often are you actually present with what you are doing while it is happening? Are you often worrying/predicting the future or reliving/trying to fix the past? Do you feel the ground beneath your feet? Notice when in your day you feel the most grounded and fully with what you are doing. When do you experience the most ease of mind?

Begin to rearrange

Find something you can begin to do more often in your day, that will create an environment that makes it a joy to be present and begin to notice what captures your attentions to take you away from now?
